CMA Workers United Design

On August 29, 2022, the workers of the Columbus Museum of Art (CMA) announced to the board of directors & management their intent to unionize due to many concerns and issues the workers have faced since the COVID-19 pandemic started in 2019 and other problems that have persisted before then. The name of this union is officially the CMA Workers United (CMAWU) and is in turn, a part of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME); a union federation dedicated to protecting workers rights and the right to collective bargaining. As a fellow member of CMAWU; I, alongside Char Haggerty of CMA’s Learning Department tasked ourselves with creating the look of the union with input from all the union members.
